We are happy to announce that the Feast of Tabernacles will return to the same facility as last year. The Ramada Waco (previously Hotel Waco) is conveniently located @ 1001 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Exit 335-C off IH-35 and provides easy access to all parts of Waco and surrounding communities. Overlooking the Brazos River and a stones throw across the river from Baylor University, Ramada of Waco stands ready to welcome you to the Heart of Texas. Although the hotel is in a somewhat remote area, we found that to be a plus last year. Upgrading is in progress--comfortable accommodations are available and the luxurious guest rooms offer new pillow-top mattresses. Hotel amenities may be reviewed @ www.Ramada.com/Waco.
Ramada Management has reserved a block of rooms for Christian Biblical Church of God and when making reservations, you must mention CBCG for the special room rate. An 8 day room rate package will be $279 plus tax or a total of $315.27…this is a very modest increase over last year, but the best price available for any hotel/motel in the Waco area. A 3-night package discounted rate of $149.99 + tax and a nightly room rate of $59.99 + tax is also available upon request. This will be a standard room w/king size bed, private bath, and upon request and as available, a refrigerator and microwave…all non-smoking rooms. Rooms are available with a connecting door and most rooms have balconies. Our group will be housed on floors 2, 3 and 4, unless otherwise requested--elevators are adequate. Features also include in-room coffee makers, hair dryers, outdoor pool, 24-hour on-site fitness center and handicap provisions are available upon request. Kitchenettes are not available. Price includes complimentary hot breakfast each day. Includes ample parking space and complimentary airport shuttle is provided.
The facility is a 4 story hotel and has an indoor corridor from the rooms to the Ballroom where services will be held….this is really convenient especially should the Texas weather turn downward. Fred will visit our Feast site again this year….his travel schedule has not yet been developed---the brethren always appreciate the opportunity to spend some time with him.
The opening service will be held in the Ballroom located on the main floor at 10:30 a.m. on the First Holy Day, Thursday, September 23, 2010, then lunch for the group will be served, followed by afternoon services @ 2:30 p.m. The times of other meetings will be announced. A contract has been signed for additional meals, including a catered meal on one of the days Fred is in Waco; other activities to be announced.
For those interested in participating in the festival choir, doing special music, serving as festival pianist -- or if you need further information about this site, please contact DeWayne Timmons, Festival Coordinator or his wife, Linda at 817-572-5433 or dtimmons2@tx.rr.com. Joe Lyons will return as song leader.
The Marketing Manager, Jerri Glass, will be more than happy to help you and/or personnel at the registration desk will also be happy to assist. Most of them were there last year and will be familiar with our group. However, feel free to contact Jerri @ ramadawacosales@gmail.com. She is in the office Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and assures us that every effort will be made to accommodate the needs of the brethren to the best of their ability and looks forward to serving us at our Feast of Tabernacles.
Room reservations must be made as early as possible, but NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 1st. All remaining rooms within the blocked area will be released on that date; reservations made after September 1st will be as available. The block of rooms is all non-smoking, but it is suggested that this be reiterated when making reservations.
